306 Cape Avenue

This beautiful house was completely renovated this year (2024) -- it felt like we were staying in a brand new property. First floor is an open floor plan and felt spacious for our family of 4 (plus 2 grandparents who visited for 2 days during the week). High-end appliances in kitchen, lots of counter space, one cupboard empty for storing our food items. As you'll see in the photos, the kitchen table is pushed against the wall -- it's a tight squeeze for 6 around the table if you eat indoors (no separate DR), but we ate all our meals on the spacious back deck, so that wasn't an issue for us. One large BR with queen bed on first floor (very nice for older family members), plus full bath and separate laundry room (previous review is out of date, there is a full-sized washer/dryer). There is an additional room on the first level, but it's an owners suite (we assume) so not part of the rental. Upstairs are 2 additional BRs plus full bath. Bathrooms are very nicely redone. Back yard feels very private. Enjoyed morning coffee in the back. Lots of yard space for bikes, beach gear, etc -- although no covered space. We got lucky, had no rain all week, so not an issue. (Also, photo as of August 2024 is out of date, back yard is now beautifully landscaped. Grill is next to patio, not at rear of property). Seating on front porch is also very comfortable with two ceiling fans -- we enjoyed sitting out front in the afternoons after the day on the beach. House was well stocked with paper items, cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc. Good selection of pots, pans, food storage, etc. Knives were actually sharp. The only missing item for us was a blender -- there was no base. Location is ideal, a very short walk to beach access and a few houses away from the CMP circle. We've rented 4 different properties in CMP over the years and this was our favorite. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely little cottage. It is well furnished and it had everything we needed for the weekend. It doesn’t ha a washer or dryer but had everything else. Absolutely loved the outdoor shower.
